For us to stay current with the trends, regulations and in close contact with those who represent the onion industry, Germains became a member of the National Onion Association in 1986.

Founded in 1913, the National Onion Association is the official organization representing growers, shippers, brokers, and commercial representatives of the U.S. onion industry. The NOA provides its members with up-to-date information, governmental representation, and important industry networking events.

July 13th to 16th, the NOA will be hosting its annual Summer Convention in Niagara Falls. This year’s agenda will key on current events and topics of interest within the onion industry. Highlights include market trends, opportunities, challenges, and public relations program updates. Speakers will address political realities and regulatory issues such as Food and Drug Administration’s Food Safety Modernization Act, which is considered to be the most sweeping reform of food safety laws in more than 70 years.

We find that the networking opportunities at the NOA events are an excellent source for generating new ideas for future product development and a fun casual environment to spend time with our valued customers.
