Part 2: Seed Polymers | Spectrum® 300

Our range of seed polymers is designed to offer rapid and easy to clean down between uses, therefore minimizing the impact on production.  Germains spectrum® seed polymers have been tested through side-vent drum coaters, continuous coaters, and rotary batch seed treaters.

The spectrum® 300 series is a seed filmcoating polymer that is designed for binding of seed-applied treatments such as pesticides and fungicides, requiring medium to high binding of solids, e.g., high rates of solids in the treatment mix.

Spectrum® 300 Seed Polymers | Properties

  • Low opacity
  • High binding capacity
  • Matte finish
  • Concentrated formulations for ease of handling
  • Easy to clean after use

Guidelines and Usage Rates

spectrum seed polymers

*Suggested / Examples of application rates for popular seed treatments

  • Dilution rate is dependent on specific application and binding capacity required
  • Rates are expressed in grams of products applied per kilogram of seed.
  • The average specific gravity for the 300 Series is 1.20 kg/l.
  • Manufacturers recommended rate of formulation for certain markets.

Color options for the 300 series include Neutral, Red, and Green.

How to Get the Best Price for Seed Polymers

If you want to get the best price for polymers we suggested that you evaluate your forecasted seed volume for the year to determine how much polymer you will need for six months to a year. Price breaks are based on 0-15 gallons, 16-60 gallons, 61 to 240 gallons, 241-499 gallons, and 500 to 999 gallons. When placing your order, you may select from the following packaging options suitable for your storage area:

Standard packaging for North America:

5 Gallon (2 x 2.5 Gallon Jugs)

5 Gallon Pail

55 Gallon Fiber Drum

265 Gallon Cage Tote

Storage Recommendations

With proper storage conditions, our seed polymers are designed to remain stable in storage for a one year period from the labelled packing date.  Polymers should always be stored in original or suitable containers, which are sealed, away from direct sunlight, and in temperature ranges of minimum 5°C/41°F to a maximum of 40°C/104°F. Under no circumstances must the material be allowed to freeze. Always mix well before use.
