Proud to Celebrate British Farming

We are proud to support a host of events that celebrate British farming. Communication is vital in educating both the public and next generation on where their food comes from, how farming supports local communities and exciting technological developments enhancing the industry.

Suffolk School Farm and Country Show

In April, we attended Suffolk Agricultural Association’s School Farm and Country Fair at Trinity Park in Ipswich. Over 4,500 school children between 7 and 9 years old were in attendance, with a number visiting our interactive exhibit and learning how to detect healthy plants in germination testing.

Open Farm Sunday

We were proud to support Park Farm Thorney at their fantastic Open Farm and Vintage Weekend on the 8th and 9th June. The Germains team were on-hand to educate both adults and children on the value of our innovative seed technologies in delivering greater yields for growers and subsequently benefitting the wider industry, local communities and end-consumers. Kids Country

Since 2017, we have attended the brilliant Kids Country day organised by the East of England Showground team. 58 schools were in attendance from 5 counties across the UK to learn about the importance of agriculture and the countryside. JB Gill, CBeebies presenter, was this year’s celebrity guest that joined the day. He stated:

Farming isn’t just about driving the tractors and moving sheep: it’s the technology and engineering that design new combine harvesters, the scientists creating new veterinary medications, and the chefs that know the value of seasonal produce

We are passionate about inspiring the next generation on the importance of innovation within agriculture, not only from a consumer perspective but also to consider agriculture as a future career. We were met with many enthusiastic young people eager to learn more about how our priming, pelleting, health and filmcoating technologies work to maximise the potential of crops.
