Seed Meets Technology is an annual event which enables seed professionals and vegetable growers from across the globe to display their newest seed technologies and varieties. This year it was the sixth edition and took place from 24th to 26th September in Zwaagdijk.
Germains at Seed meets Technology
This year Germains had a large booth in the main arena of the Proeftuin Zwaagdijk trial centre. Germains’ Commercial and R&D representatives from the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Spain were in attendance.
During Seed meets Technology, we promoted our new product specifically designed for Fennel: Fennel Emergis® Classic SF – ProPill®. This new Fennel product is the newest addition to our hygiene range. The advantages of this product include:
● Outstanding results in field trials in Southern-Europe
● Excellent germination with a wide range of moistures
● Improves the seed vitality
● Great shelf life, tested to 6+ months
● Pill is available in different sizes
Customers and visitors could also find information about our core business: Priming, Pelleting, Filmcoating, Health and Polymers at our booth. Outside Proeftuin Zwaagdijk there were plenty of trial fields.
Overall, Seed Meets Technology allowed us to connect with new customers and explore future opportunities, helping us to build stronger relationships for the future.
Celebrating 50 years in Aalten
2019 is a special year for Germains, as we celebrate 50 years of our facility in Aalten, the Netherlands. The Dutch site opened in 1969 to help with the increasing demand of Germains products across Europe. During Seed meets Technology we had special cupcakes to celebrate this achievement. On the evening of Tuesday 24th of September, we held a special evening to celebrate 50 years of our Aalten site. We invited customers at Landgoed Robacher’s Watermill in Hauwert to celebrate with us. We were delighted to welcome two incredible guest speakers for the evening: Dr Mark Carr (Group Chief Executive AB Sugar United Kingdom), to talk about Germains and the future, and Jan-Willem Grievink (Director of the Food Service Institute Netherlands), discussing current and future trends in vegetable consumption. It was a very enjoyable evening, and we would like to thank all the customers that were able to come and celebrate with us.
