Germains at LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday!
Germains was proud to support LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday at Oldershaws of Molton on Sunday 11th June. Germains has become a prominent supporter of agriculture events that engage the UK’s future farmers, who are essentially the country’s children.
More About LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday Event
In order for the UK’s agriculture to move to self-sufficiency, Germains believes that it is vital for the industry to start educating children on the importance of farming in the hope of attracting future generation to pursue careers in farming. Germains is continuing to support educating the importance of farming by attending this year’s Kids Country events and also Open Farm Sunday.
This year was the farm’s first Open Farm Sunday and was a great success with 1100 people through the gates and over £1000 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. There were plenty of activities for the public to participate in, including trailer rides, a sheep demonstration and also welly wanging!
The day was a fantastic opportunity for Germains to engage and educate the generations on the value of seed technology in maximising crop potential.
We look forward to supporting at next year’s event and continuing to Back British Farming!
