Maintenance Technician

Germains Seed Technology, a leader in the seed treatment industry, is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our outstanding team.  The primary responsibilities of this role will be to work on a wide-range of drying, pelleting and packaging equipment.  There will be routine maintenance and housekeeping duties as well.  This position can be tailored to a candidate’s strength and experience regardless of how light, however, there are a core set of skills/experiences that we are looking for:

• Automation acumen; actual experience preferred
• Electrical skills to include electrical troubleshooting of wiring
• PLC troubleshooting – using PLC’s and other networked diagnostics to repair machinery and install improvements that increase efficiency.
• Preventative Maintenance – understanding of and experience 
• Mechanical troubleshooting of equipment:  manufacturing, agriculture or processing equipment preferred

In addition, any or all of the following would be preferred:

• Electrical design experience
• Fabrication experience
• AutoCAD
• Agricultural experience
• CMMS Operation
• Welding experience
• Rebuilding gearboxes
• HVAC
• Servo troubleshooting
• Dust Collection systems
• Lean environment
• Six Sigma environment
• Education (AA, BS or Trade School Certification) in Electrical Design, Automation, or related
