Head of HR

We have an exciting opportunity for a bilingual (Dutch/English) HR professional who is looking to make an impact in a changing business. Germains Seed Technology are looking for a Head of HR based in the Netherlands to oversee the European business.  

Germains is a seed technology business working with seed breeders across the world to enhance the genetic potential of seed performance to Maximise Nature’s Potential®. We are part of the AB Sugar group within ABF, and have sites across the UK, EU, and North America. Germains is a small yet complex multi-site/ multi-function business where you can expect a fast-paced environment and lots of challenge and opportunity.

This is a highly autonomous role which is part of the European Leadership Team, reporting into the European Business Unit Director, and has strategic and operational ownership for HR across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a senior HR background to step into a broader leadership role while remaining hands-on where required. We are looking for someone who is flexible, innovative and isn’t afraid to challenge whilst aligning to our culture of transparency, empowerment, and inclusion.

We are a modern business and as part of our agile working culture, in which we measure output not input, the location and working hours of this role are not fixed. We believe this role to be 80% of a full-time position so looking for someone who wants to work 4 days per week or equivalent. Travel within the Netherlands but also to the UK and Spain will be required.
